Verdant Haven stands as an exemplary model of breathing modern, sustainable life into historic urban structures.
Spanning five stories, this vintage brownstone underwent complete structural re-engineering, including
foundation stabilization and floor plan optimization. We restored original exposed brickwork, historic crown
moldings, and hand-carved wood fireplace mantels, juxtaposing them with energy-efficient modern interventions.
The house features high-performance triple-glazed skylights that flood the interior core with natural sunlight,
reducing dependence on artificial lighting. A central design feature is the integration of biophilic principles,
featuring a three-story vertical indoor courtyard wall, hidden rooftop garden terraces, and zero-VOC organic
stone finishes that purify indoor air quality naturally.
